Ingredients

  • For the Chocolate Cake
  • 430 g 3 1/2 cup All-purpose Flour

  • 70 g 3/4 cup Cocoa Powder

  • 2 tsp 2 tsp Baking Powder

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Baking Soda

  • 350 g 1 3/4 cup Sugar

  • 1 pinch 1 pinch Salt

  • 500 g 2 cup Milk

  • 150 g 2/3 cup Vegetable Oil

  • For the Chocolate Ganache
  • 300 g 1 1/4 cup Heavy Cream

  • 400 g 14 oz Milk Chocolate Couverture

  • 30 g 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

How to make Moist Chocolate Cake

  • Chocolate Cake
  • In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the sugar, oil, and milk.
  • Mix first with a spatula and then with a whisk until smooth.
  • Lightly grease a 25ร—35 cm (10ร—14 inch) baking pan.
  • Pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 170ยฐC / 340ยฐF (conventional heat) for about 45 minutes.
  • Let the cake cool while preparing the ganache.
  • Chocolate Ganache
  • Place a saucepan over medium heat and add the cream.
  • Bring just to a boil while stirring.
  • Lower the heat and add the chopped chocolate and sunflower oil.
  • Stir until smooth and glossy.
  • Pour the ganache over the cooled cake.
  • Let cool completely before serving.
