Ingredients

  • For the Chocolate Cake
  • 700 g 24.7 oz Milk

  • 600 g 21.2 oz Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

  • 2 1/2 tsp 2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

  • For the Coating (Optional)
  • 200 g 7 oz Milk Couverture Chocolate

  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp Sunflower Oil

  • Sliced Almonds

  • Sweet Cherries

Recipe directions

  • For the Chocolate Cake
  • In a blender, pour the milk.
  • Gradually add the biscuits and blend well. Repeat until all the biscuits are blended.
  • Add the baking powder and blend for 1-2 minutes.
  • Grease a 22cm (8 in) baking dish with a little cooking oil and line it with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Preheat the oven to 170 C (340 F) and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  • Optional Topping
  • In a bowl, add the couverture chocolate, sunflower oil, and melt the chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler (bain marie).
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the cake and spread it. Allow the chocolate to cool.
  • Decorate the edge of the cake with sliced almonds and add cherries in the center of the cake.
