Ingredients

  • 5 5 Medium Eggs

  • 300 g 1 1/2 cup Sugar

  • 1 pinch 1 pinch Salt

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Vanilla Extract or 2 Vanilla Capsules

  • 150 g 2/3 cup Sunflower Oil

  • 400 g 1 2/3 cup Greek strained Yogurt, full fat

  • 500 g 4 cup Self-rising Flour

  • 100 g 2/3 cup Chocolate flakes or chunks

How to make Yogurt Cake

  • Preheat oven to 320°F (160°C) fan or 340°F (170°C) conventional.
  • In a large bowl, add the eggs, sugar, and salt. Mix with a whisk or spoon.
  • Add the oil and stir until combined.
  • Add the vanilla and yogurt, then mix again.
  • Gradually incorporate the flour.
  • Gently fold the batter with a spatula until fully combined.
  • Add the chocolate flakes and mix lightly.
  • Grease and flour a 28 cm (11-inch) cake pan and pour in the batter.
  • Bake on the lower oven rack for 60 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
  • Let cool before removing from the pan.
