Why These Apple Cookies Are So Flavorful

The filling is slowly cooked until the apples release their natural sugars and blend with cinnamon and raisins. This creates a rich, jam-like center that stays moist inside the cookie.

The Secret to Tender Dough

Cold butter and yogurt work together to create a delicate pastry-like dough. The resting time allows the gluten to relax, making the dough easier to shape and resulting in softer cookies.

Perfect for Coffee or Tea

These cookies are ideal for:

  • afternoon coffee breaks
  • holiday dessert platters
  • lunchbox treats
  • cozy autumn baking

They store well and remain soft for several days.

Flavor & Texture

Expect:

  • Buttery tender dough
  • Soft apple-cinnamon filling
  • Sweet raisin bursts
  • Light golden crust

The aroma alone will fill the kitchen while they bake.
