Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Seed oil

  • 1/2 cup Olive oil

  • 2 cups Coarse semolina

  • 3 cups Sugar

  • 4 cups Water

  • 200 g Raisins

  • 1-2 tsp Cinnamon powder to sprinkle

Recipe directions

  • Place a big pot over heat. Add the seed oil, olive oil, semolina and mix. Roast the semolina with the oil until it takes on color.
  • Add the sugar, water and stir. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add the raisins and mix.
  • Cover the pot with a towel and its lid. Let the halva cool.
  • Lay cling film in a round cake tin and transfer the halva into the cake tin. Spread the halva evenly using a spatula.
  • Unmold the halva to a platter.
