Ingredients

  • Dough
  • 700 g 5 1/2 cup All-purpose Flour

  • 280 g 1 1/6 cup Lukewarm Milk

  • 14 g 2 5/6 tsp Dry Yeast or 35 g Fresh Yeast

  • 2 tsp 2 tsp Sugar

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Salt

  • 80 g 5 1/2 tbsp Butter, softened

  • 2 2 Eggs

  • For Brushing
  • 100 g 7 tbsp Butter

How to make baked donuts

  • Dough
  • In a bowl, add the milk, eggs, sugar, and yeast. Mix.
  • Add the salt and gradually incorporate the flour while mixing.
  • Add the butter and knead for about 5 minutes until you have a soft dough that doesnโ€™t stick to your hands.
  • Transfer to the counter and knead briefly using folding motions.
  • Lightly oil a bowl, place the dough inside, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled.
  • Shaping
  • Transfer to a floured surface and gently deflate.
  • Divide into 12 equal balls.
  • Shape each piece into your desired donut shape.
  • Place on a parchment-lined tray and let rest for 20 minutes.
  • Brush with melted butter.
  • Baking (Oven)
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180ยฐC / 350ยฐF (fan) for 15โ€“20 minutes.
  • Air Fryer Option
  • Preheat air fryer
  • Cook at 200ยฐC / 390ยฐF for 3-4 minutes
  • Flip and cook for another 2-4 minutes
  • Final Touch
  • Brush again with melted butter for shine.
