Ingredients

  • 640 g 2 3/4 cup Unsalted Butter, at room temperature

  • 500 g 2 1/2 cup Sugar

  • 2 2 Egg Yolks

  • 3 3 Vanillins

  • 1 pinch 1 pinch Salt

  • 60 g 1/4 cup Brandy

  • 150 g 2/3 cup Milk

  • 150 g 2/3 cup Orange Juice

  • 1 tsp 1 Baking Soda (dissolved in the orange juice)

  • 1500 g 12 cup All-Purpose Flour (or soft flour)

How to make Butter Cookies

  • Beat the butter, sugar, and salt for 10 minutes, until pale, fluffy, and creamy.
  • Add the egg yolks and vanilla; mix until incorporated.
  • Pour in the brandy, milk, and orange juice with dissolved baking soda.
  • Gradually add the flour, mixing gently until all ingredients are combined.
  • Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
  • Shape the cookies as desired.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 390ยฐF (200ยฐC), conventional heat, for 15โ€“17 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • Allow cookies to cool completely before storing.
