Ingredients

  • 1 cup 1 Sunflower Oil

  • 1 cup 1 Olive Oil

  • 1 cup 1 Orange Juice

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Brandy

  • Zest of 2-3 oranges

  • 8 cups 8 All-purpose Flour

  • 2 tsp 2 Baking Powder

  • 1 tsp 1 Baking Powder

  • 1 tbsp 1 Ground Cinnamon

  • 1 pinch 1 Salt

  • 2 tsp 2 Vanilla Extract

  • Sesame seeds, for coating

How to make the Cookies

  • In a large bowl, add sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Pour in the orange juice to activate the baking soda and stir briefly.
  • Add the olive oil, sunflower oil, cognac, vanilla, and orange zest. Mix well.
  • Gradually add the flour and knead gently for 1โ€“2 minutes until a soft dough forms.
  • Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  • Shape the dough into small cookies and roll each one in sesame seeds.
  • Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180ยฐC / 350ยฐF (top & bottom heat) for 20โ€“25 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool before serving.
