Ingredients

  • 1 kg Potatoes

  • 800 g Ground Beef

  • 2 Onions, finely chopped

  • 3 cloves Garlic, finely chopped

  • 1/2 bunch Parsley, finely chopped

  • 230 g Mushrooms, chopped (1 can)

  • 200 g Tomatoes, finely chopped

  • 150 g Olive Oil

  • 400 g Meltable Cheese

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Paprika

  • Thyme

Recipe directions

  • For the Potatoes
  • In a baking dish (25×35 cm), spray a little olive oil and sprinkle some salt.
  • Peel and slice the potatoes into half-centimeter thick slices. Arrange a layer of potatoes, slightly overlapping each other. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme. Finally, spray with a little olive oil.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and bake for half an hour.
  • For the Ground Beef
  • Heat a pan and add olive oil. Add finely chopped onions, minced garlic, and sauté.
  • Add the ground beef and continue sautéing. Then add finely chopped parsley, mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and add the finely chopped tomato.
  • Mix well and wait for excess moisture to evaporate.
  • To Assemble
  • Pour the ground beef mixture over the baked potatoes and spread it evenly.
  • Top it with grated meltable cheese.
  • Bake for an additional 40 minutes in the oven at 200 Celsius (390 F).
  • Allow the dish to cool slightly before serving.
