Ingredients

  • For the Dough
  • 500 g 17.6 oz All Purpose Flour

  • 10 g 0.4 oz Sugar

  • 10 g 0.4 oz Salt

  • 8 g 0.3 oz Dry Yeast

  • 50 g 1.8 oz Olive Oil

  • A pinch of Pepper

  • 350 g 12 fl oz Water (lukewarm)

  • For the Sauce
  • 200 g 7 oz Tomato Sauce

  • 50 g 1.8 oz Olive Oil

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Aniseed (optional)

  • Salt & Pepper

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Thyme

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Paprika

  • For the Topping
  • 600 g 21.2 oz Melting Cheese (grated)

  • 300 g 10.6 oz Ham (diced)

  • 1 1 Florina Red Pepper (chopped)

  • 1 1 Green Pepper (chopped)

  • 300 g 10.6 oz Mushrooms (chopped)

  • 1 1 Tomato (chopped)

  • 150 g 5.3 oz Bacon (chopped)

How to make Homemade Pizza

  • For the Dough
  • In a bowl, add the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast, then mix them together.
  • Add the pepper, olive oil, and lukewarm water, and mix well.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and set aside to rise.
  • For the Sauce
  • In a bowl, add the tomato juice, olive oil, anise (optional), thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper, then mix everything together.
  • For the Assembly
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Roll out the dough and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Spread the sauce over the dough. On top, sprinkle grated cheese, ham, Florina peppers, tomato, green pepper, and mushrooms. Cover with more grated cheese.
  • Finally, spread the bacon on top.
  • Baking
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) top and bottom heat, and bake for about 40 minutes.
