Ingredients

  • 1 Whole egg

  • 1 Egg yolk

  • 200 g Sugar

  • 400 g Butter (or margarine)

  • 600 g All purpose flour

  • 20 g Cocoa powder

Recipe directions

  • In a bowl, place the whole egg, the egg yolk and the sugar then beat them together using a whisk.
  • Add the butter (or margarine) and mix.
  • Add the flour and mix until dough.
  • Divide the dough into two parts.
  • Wrap one piece of dough with cling film and set aside.
  • Add the cocoa powder to the remaining dough and knead until thoroughly incorporated. Wrap the dough with cling film and refrigerate both parts of dough for 30 minutes.
  • Roll out each portion of the dough, use a cookie cutter to create shapes, and place them on a baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  • Preheat the oven to 170 C (340 F) and bake for 10-15 minutes.
