This Greek No-Bake Cheesepie is a quick and easy version of the classic Greek τυρόπιτα, made entirely in a frying pan. With layers of crispy phyllo, creamy feta, yogurt, and cheddar, it’s the perfect stovetop meal when you want the flavors of Greece without using the oven.

Ingredients

  • 500 g 17.6 oz Phyllo dough sheets (1 pack)

  • 200 g 7 oz Vegetable Oil

  • 500 g 17.6 oz Feta Cheese

  • 150 g 5.3 oz Cheddar Cheese, chopped

  • 200 g 7 oz Yogurt

  • 3 3 Eggs

  • 50 g 1.8 oz Bell Peppers, chopped

How to make the Cheesepie

  • In a bowl, add the feta cheese and mash it with a fork. Then, add the yogurt.
  • Beat the eggs and add them to the bowl.
  • Stir.
  • Add the peppers, cheddar, and pepper, and mix again.
  • Take a large frying pan and brush it with vegetable oil.
  • Lay one sheet of phyllo dough in the pan and sprinkle it with vegetable oil.
  • Place a second sheet on top, sprinkle with oil, and repeat with a third sheet. Remember to sprinkle oil between each layer.
  • Add one-third of the filling and spread it evenly.
  • Repeat the process for another three layers of phyllo, always sprinkling oil between the sheets.
  • Add and spread another portion of the filling.
  • Repeat the process for another three layers of phyllo, always sprinkling oil between the sheets.
  • Add the remaining filling and spread it evenly in the pan.
  • Lay one sheet of phyllo on top and sprinkle with oil.
  • Fold the edges of the phyllo inward and sprinkle with more oil.
  • Finally, add two more sheets on top, sprinkling oil between them, and fold them inward as well.
  • Brush the top with oil.
  • Place the pan over very low heat and cook for about 7 minutes.
  • Flip the pie using a platter or a large plate and cook the other side as well.
