This fluffy vegan orange cake with spoon sweet is soft, aromatic, and incredibly easy to make without a mixer. Ready in minutes, it’s the perfect homemade dessert with fruity flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 500 g 4 cup Self-rising Flour

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Baking Powder

  • 2 2 Vanillin Capsules (or 1 tsp Vanilla extract)

  • 300 g 1 1/4 cup Orange Juice

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

  • 250 g 1 1/4 cup Sunflower Oil

  • 250 g 1 1/4 cup Sugar

  • 50 g 3 tbsp Water

  • 200 g 3/4 cup Spoon Sweet, chopped

How to make the Cake

  • Preheat the oven to 170°C / 340°F (conventional heat).
  • In a bowl, add the sugar and sunflower oil and mix for about 1 minute.
  • Add half of the orange juice along with the water and continue mixing.
  • Dissolve the baking soda in the remaining orange juice and add it to the mixture.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, and vanilla and mix for about 1 minute until smooth.
  • Lightly coat the spoon sweet with flour and add it to the mixture. Mix gently.
  • Transfer the mixture to a 26 cm (10-inch) pan lined with parchment paper and lightly greased.
  • Bake for about 55–60 minutes, until golden and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  • Let it cool, remove from the pan, and dust with powdered sugar.
