Ingredients

  • 700 g 700 Soaked and well drained Bread (crumb only)

  • 1 tsp 1 Sweet Paprika

  • 140 g 140 White Tarama (fish roe paste)

  • 80-120 g 80-120 Corn Oil

  • 70-80 g 70-80 Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 1/2 bunch 1/2 Fresh Dill, finely chopped

  • 4-5 4-5 Green Onions

How to make Greek Taramasalata

  • In a blender or food processor, add the tarama, half of the corn oil, and a small amount of lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
  • Drain the bread very well and add it to the blender. Blend with the remaining ingredients until combined.
  • Add the paprika for color, the remaining corn oil, and a bit more lemon juice. Blend until fully incorporated and creamy.
  • Finely chop the green onions and dill and add them. Blend briefly to incorporate.
  • Taste and adjust by adding a little more bread and corn oil if the mixture tastes bitter.
  • Transfer to a bowl and store in the refrigerator.
