Ingredients

  • 400 g 3 1/4 cup All-purpose Flour

  • 15 g 1 tbsp Baking Powder

  • 1 1 Egg

  • 200 g 1 cup Sugar

  • 200 g 7 oz Butter, melted

  • 1 pinch 1 pinch Salt

  • 15 g 2 tbsp Cinnamon Powder

  • 2 2 Vanillin Capsules

  • 30 g 2 tbsp Brandy (or water or orange juice)

  • For Topping
  • Brown Sugar

  • Cinnamon Powder

How to make Cinnamon Biscuits

  • In a bowl, add sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter. Mix well.
  • Add the egg and cognac (or water/orange juice) and stir to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder, then gradually add it to the wet ingredients while stirring.
  • Knead lightly until you have a soft dough that doesnโ€™t stick to your hands.
  • Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  • Roll out to ยฝ cm (ยผ inch) thickness and cut into shapes with a glass or cookie cutter.
  • Place cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the cookies.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180ยฐC (350ยฐF) for 12โ€“15 minutes (top & bottom heat).
  • Allow the cookies to cool and store in airtight metal tins or glass jars.
