Ingredients

  • 800 g 28.2 oz Potatoes

  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp Salt

  • 40 g 1.4 oz Butter

  • 100 g 3.5 oz Cheddar cheese (grated)

  • 50 g 1.8 oz Parmesan cheese (grated)

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Paprika

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • 100 g 3.5 oz Water

  • 150 g 5.3 oz Corn Starch

  • Sunflower oil (for frying)

How to Make Homemade Cheetos

  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces. Place them in a pan.
  • Add salt and hot water to cover the potatoes.
  • Place the pan over high heat and boil the potatoes for about 20 minutes. Once boiled, transfer them to a bowl.
  • Mash the potatoes and add butter, pepper, a little salt, 70 grams of water, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, and mix well.
  • Add cornstarch and paprika, and mix well. Transfer the dough to a pastry bag.
  • Place a pan with sunflower oil over heat. Once the oil is well-heated, add small portions of the dough to fry with the help of the pastry bag and scissors, cutting so they resemble cheetos.
  • Fry well on both sides.
  • Transfer the cheetos to a plate with absorbent paper.
