How to make Greek loukoumades

To make these delectable Greek loukoumades, start by preparing a yeast-based batter using flour, water, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let the batter rise until it becomes light and airy. Heat oil in a deep pot or fryer, then drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry until the loukoumades turn golden brown and puff up beautifully. Once they’re cooked, remove them from the oil and let them drain on a paper towel to remove any excess oil.

The final touch is what makes these loukoumades truly exceptional – a drizzle of golden honey. While the dumplings are still warm, generously coat them in sweet and sticky honey flavored with a hint of cinnamon. The honey seeps into the dumplings, adding a burst of sweetness and enhancing their irresistible texture. Serve these heavenly Greek loukoumades as a dessert at your next gathering or indulge in them as a special treat for yourself. With their enticing aroma and mouthwatering flavor, these honey-drenched dumplings are sure to be a hit with everyone.
