Ingredients

  • 600 g 4 4/5 cup All purpose flour

  • 7 g 1/8 cup Salt

  • 20 g 1/8 cup Sugar

  • 16 g 1/8 cup Dry yeast

  • 20 g 1/8 cup Olive oil

  • 320 g 11 fl oz Water

  • 200 g 7 oz Feta cheese

  • Olive oil for frying

Recipe directions

  • Making the bread dough
  • In a big bowl add flour, sugar, yeast, salt, olive oil, water and mix until dough.
  • Pour a little olive oil on the dough, carve a cross and lit it rest and rise for about 30 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into four pieces. Gently pat the dough with your fingers forming a flat round thick bread. Let it rest for five minutes.
  • Crumble feta cheese on a bread. Cover it with another piece of bread and seal the edges tightly.
    Repeat this step for the other one piece of bread.
  • Make some holes using a toothpick. Cover with a towel and set aside for a few minutes.
  • Frying the bread
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the bread and fry both sides on medium to low heat until golden brown.
