Ingredients

  • 300 g 10.6 oz Feta Cheese (2 blocks)

  • 6 6 Filo Sheets

  • Vegetable oil for brushing

  • 200 ml 6.8 fl oz Vegetable oil for frying

  • Honey for drizzling

  • Sesame seeds for sprinkling

How to make Feta Cheese Wrapped in Filo

  • Lay out one phyllo sheet on a clean surface and brush it lightly with vegetable oil.
  • Place a second phyllo sheet directly on top and brush it with oil as well.
  • Position a large block of feta cheese in the center of the layered sheets.
  • Fold the phyllo carefully around the feta, like wrapping a parcel, ensuring the cheese is fully enclosed.
  • Lay out a third sheet, brush it with oil, and wrap the feta parcel once more for added crunch and stability.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the wrapped feta for 2–3 minutes on each side, until crispy and golden brown.
  • Transfer to paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  • Serve warm, drizzled with honey and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
