Ingredients

  • For the Dough
  • 700 g 5 1/2 cup Bread Flour

  • 100 g 1/2 cup Sugar

  • 180 g 3/4 cup Milk, lukewarm

  • 16 g 2 tbsp Dry Yeast

  • 150 g 2/3 cup Butter, melted

  • 1 pinch 1 pinch Salt

  • 3 3 Eggs

  • 2 2 Vanillin Capsules

  • For the Filling
  • 100 g 7 tbsp Butter, melted

  • 200 g 1 cup Brown Sugar

  • 15 g 2 tbsp Ground Cinnamon

  • For the Glaze
  • 200 g 7 oz Cream Cheese

  • 50 g 3 tbsp Milk

  • 70 g 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar

How to make Cinnamon Rolls

  • Prepare the Dough
  • In a mixer bowl, combine the sugar, warm milk, and dry yeast. Stir lightly to dissolve.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing gently.
  • Add the melted butter, flour, and salt. Knead for about 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and not sticky.
  • Shape into a ball, score a cross on top, and place in a bowl.
  • Cover with a towel and let rise for about 1 hour.
  • Once risen, transfer to a floured surface, knead lightly, and roll into a rectangle about 0.5–1 cm thick.
  • Prepare the Filling
  • In a bowl, mix the brown sugar with the cinnamon.
  • Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Roll up tightly, sealing the edges by pressing gently.
  • Cut into rolls about 3 cm thick.
  • Proof & Bake
  • Arrange rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Press each roll slightly with your hand, cover with a towel, and let rest for 25 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F.
  • Bake on the lower rack for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  • Remove and allow to cool.
  • Prepare the Glaze
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, half the milk, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Add the remaining milk and beat until creamy.
  • Spread glaze generously over the cooled cinnamon rolls.
