Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup 3/4 cup Orange juice

  • 1 cup 1 cup Sugar

  • 200 g 1 3/8 cup Black raisins

  • 1 pinch 1 pinch Clove

  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp aniseed

  • Orange zest of two oranges

  • 1 pinch 1 pinch Salt

  • 1100 g 8 4/5 cup Self-rasing flour (or all-purpose flour with 3 tbsp baking powder

Recipe directions

  • In a big bowl mix oranges zest, sugar, orange juice, wine, oil.
  • Add a pinch of salt, 2 tbsp aniseed, 2 tbsp cinnamon, a pinch of clove. Mix again.
  • Add the flour and mix.
  • Add the black raisin and mix.
  • Form the dough and cut into 4 pieces.
  • Form each piech of the dough into a cylindrical shape.
  • Roll each dough over sesame seeds.
  • Carve the dough into slices.
  • Bake at 180o C (355o F) for 35 to 40 minutes
  • Cut into slices.
  • Bake again on air at 130o C (265o F) for 30 minutes
