  • 700 g All Purpose Flour

  • 300 g Milk, lukewarm

  • 16 g Dry Yeast

  • 20 g Sugar

  • 10 g Salt

  • 2 Egg Whites

  • 50 g Seed Oil

  • 200 g Mixed Cheese (meltable), grated

  • 100 g Parmesan Cheese, grated

  • 150 g Butter, melted

  • To Brush the Dough
  • 2 Egg Yolks

  • 100 g Parmesan Cheese, grated

Recipe directions

  • In the bowl of a mixer, add lukewarm milk, yeast, and sugar, and mix.
  • Add seed oil, egg whites, flour, and salt, and either mix in the mixer for 4 minutes or knead by hand for 6 minutes.
  • Grease a bowl with a little vegetable oil, place the dough inside, cover it with a towel, and set it aside to rise.
  • Once the dough has risen, knead it slightly to deflate. Divide the dough into 8 equal parts.
  • Using a rolling pin, roll out a piece of dough into an elongated shape. Spread butter (or margarine) over the rolled dough and add some grated cheese on top.
  • Fold the dough, rolling it into a rod, then twist it slightly and finally form it into a ring by joining the two ends.
  • Repeat the process for the remaining 7 pieces of dough.
  • Leave the bread rings aside for 20 minutes.
  • In a bowl, combine egg yolks and 50 grams of milk, and beat them. Brush this mixture over the bread rings. Finally, sprinkle some grated parmesan cheese on top.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 C (355 F) and bake for 25 minutes.

The Art of Crafting Perfect Dough for Bread Rings

Mixing Ingredients

Combine lukewarm milk, yeast, sugar, seed oil, egg whites, flour, and salt to create a smooth, elastic dough, the foundation of your bread rings.

Letting the Dough Rise

After mixing, let the dough rest and rise. This step is crucial for developing the light, airy texture of the bread rings.

Filling and Shaping Your Cheese Stuffed Bread Rings

Stuffing with Cheese

Spread melted butter over rolled-out dough and sprinkle with a generous amount of mixed and parmesan cheese for a rich, cheesy filling.

Forming the Rings

Roll the dough into a rod, twist it slightly, and then shape it into a ring. This technique ensures even distribution of cheese in every bite.

Baking and Serving Your Delicious Bread Rings

Achieving the Golden Crust

Brush the bread rings with a blend of egg yolks and milk, then sprinkle more parmesan on top for a golden, cheesy crust.

Serving Suggestions

Serve these cheese stuffed bread rings fresh from the oven as a standalone snack or alongside a meal for added delight.
