Ingredients

  • 950 g 33.5 oz All purpose flour

  • 600 g 21.2 oz Water

  • 50 g 1.8 oz Olive oil

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Salt

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • 500 g 17.6 oz Feta cheese

  • 150 g 5.3 oz Olive oil (extra)

  • Sunflower oil for frying

Recipe directions

  • In a bowl add flour, water, 50 g olive oil, juice of half a lemon, 1 tsp salt and mix.
  • Knead the dough a bit.
  • Form the dough in balls and soak them into the olive oil.
  • Set aside for 20 minutes to rest.
  • Roll out the dough using your hands as shown in the video.
  • Add feta cheese and fold.
  • Put a frying pan with sunflower oil over heat. Fry each pie until golden brown.
