Ingredients

  • 500 g 4 cup All-purpose Flour

  • 25 g 2 tbsp Baking Powder

  • 50 g 1/4 cup Olive Oil

  • 150 g 2/3 cup Sunflower Oil

  • 200 g 3/4 cup Greek Yogurt

  • 250 g 1 cup Milk

  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika

  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

  • 1 pinch 1 pinch Thyme

  • 10 g 2 tsp Vinegar

  • 100 g 1 cup Graviera cheese or Parmesan, grated

  • 500 g 18 oz Feta Cheese, crumbled

  • Olive oil, for greasing and drizzling

  • Sesame seeds, for topping

How to make no-phyllo Cheese Pie

  • In a bowl, mix the yogurt with the milk. Add the olive oil and sunflower oil, then mix again.
  • Add pepper, smoked paprika, grated cheese, a pinch of salt, thyme, flour, baking powder, and vinegar. Stir well until smooth.
  • Fold in most of the crumbled feta, keeping a little aside for topping.
  • Grease a baking pan with olive oil, pour in the mixture, and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining feta on top, then add a little pepper, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 350°F, bottom heat, for 45–50 minutes until golden brown.
